Make-up credit checklist.

1. Which absences earn a credit

• Cancelled with enough notice ([24] hours): credit issued.
• Cancelled late / no-show: charged, no credit.
• Teacher-cancelled: always made good — credit or invoice deduction, family's choice.
• Emergencies: your discretion, marked as an exception so the rule stays a rule.

2. How long a credit lives

• Expiry window: [6 weeks / half a term] from the missed lesson.
• Expired credits vanish — they are not refunds, discounts, or arguments.
• Maximum held at once: [2]. The cap is what stops a family banking half a term.

3. How booking works

• Same lesson length as the missed one.
• Booked at a mutually agreed time — your gaps, offered first, not an open calendar.
• Booked credits are consumed when the make-up lesson happens; a make-up lesson cancelled late consumes the credit anyway.

4. What a no-show costs

• No credit, full charge, no debate — this is the clause parents test first, so it must be the clearest sentence in your policy.

5. What survives the term

• Nothing carries over unless you say so in writing. End-of-term: unused credits expire, and the new term starts at zero.
• Tell families the balance before the last week — surprises in September are last year's credits resurfacing.
