What that adds up to
Start today and it's 30 days free, then twelve months at $6.99 — about thirteen months before you're asked for $9.99. We write that out rather than calling it “your first year”, because the difference is a month of yours.
Against MyMusicStaff's $16.95, that's $119.52 less over the twelve founder months and $83.52 a year less at the standard rate. Against a per-lesson plan the gap depends on how much you teach, and the Teachworks page shows the arithmetic rather than a number.
Pricing questions
When do the 12 billed months start?
On your first bill, which ordinarily falls the day after the trial ends — not the day you sign up. Twelve invoices are charged at $6.99, then the thirteenth and every one after it is $9.99.
What happens on day 31?
Ordinarily the trial ends and you are asked for a card for the first time. The thirty days finish at a decision, not at a charge, because there is no card on file to charge; if you would rather not go on, you do nothing and nothing happens.
Do I need a card to start?
No. The 30 days are free with no card and no billing details of any kind, so there is nothing to cancel if you decide against it.
Does Lesson Lineup take payments from my families?
No — and it never asks a family for a card or a bank login, because it has nowhere to put one. You record the payments you have already received, however they were made, and Lesson Lineup does the arithmetic.
Can I keep my current subscription running while I try Lesson Lineup?
Yes, and you should: the 30 days are long enough to run a full month of lessons and invoice it alongside what you use now, and nothing in Lesson Lineup touches the other product. The switching guide lays the two out week by week.
